The Objective
You are presented with a grid of colored tiles. All tiles are identical except one.
The target tile is slightly lighter or darker than the rest. Your goal is to find and click it as fast as possible.
The Progression
As you advance through levels, two things happen simultaneously to increase difficulty:
- Grid ExpansionThe grid starts at 2x2, then grows to 3x3, 4x4, and beyond. More tiles mean more visual noise to filter through.
- Opacity ConvergenceThe color difference (opacity delta) between the target and the base color shrinks. In early levels, it's obvious. By Level 30+, the difference is almost imperceptible to the untrained eye.
Biological Hacks
Peripheral Vision
Staring directly at tiles can sometimes cause "color fatigue". Try relaxing your focus and looking at the grid as a whole. The irregular tile often "pops" out in your peripheral vision.
Screen Brightness
Ensure your screen brightness is high. Low brightness reduces contrast, making the subtle differences in high levels mathematically impossible to see on some displays.
