How It Works
**Cascade** is deceptively simple. The board is filled with colored energy balls floating in space.
- 1
The Trigger: You get to click ONE ball. That ball explodes immediately.
- 2
The Reaction: When a ball explodes, it checks its immediate neighbors. If a neighbor is the SAME COLOR, it also explodes.
- 3
The Chain: This process repeats. Explosions trigger more explosions, creating a "Cascade". The longer the chain, the higher your score.
The Math of Destruction
A single explosion is worth very little. The real points come from the Chain Depth multiplier.
This exponential scaling means that a chain reaction that goes 5 layers deep is worth significantly more than clearing the same number of balls in a shallow 2-layer chain.
Strategic Planning
- Identify Clusters: Look for large, touching groups of the same color. These are your "fuel tanks".
- Find Bridges: The most valuable balls are the ones that connect two large clusters of the same color. Clicking a "bridge" ball can trigger both clusters simultaneously.
- Don't Rush: Unlike other arcade games, Cascade has no time limit for your decision. Study the board. simulate the explosion in your mind before you click.
Survival Guide
Round Progression
If you fail to trigger a significant chain (usually checking against a minimum threshold), the game ends. You must clear a certain percentage of the board or achieve a specific chain depth to advance to the next round.
Ripple Effects
At high chain depths (3+), you'll see visual ripple effects distorting the screen. This isn't just eye candy—it's your indicator that you are in "Bonus Territory". Keep the momentum going!
